What we do

Dialysis Modalities we offer

HD (Haemodialysis):

Haemodialysis is the most common form of dialysis. Blood is circulated outside the body and cleaned using a dialyser before being returned to the patient.

HDF (Hemodiafiltration):

An advanced form of haemodialysis, HDF combines diffusion and convection processes to effectively remove toxins and waste from the blood.

PD (Peritoneal Dialysis):

In PD, a catheter is used to fill the abdomen with a cleansing solution. Waste products and excess fluids move from the blood into the solution, which is then drained out.

APD (Automated Peritoneal Dialysis):

A form of PD, APD uses a machine (cycler) to perform multiple exchanges at night while the patient sleeps.

Each modality has its unique benefits and considerations. Our team of experts is always on hand to provide guidance, ensuring you receive the best treatment tailored to your needs.

Questions to Guide Your Wellness Check-In:

At Kidney Care Clinics, we believe in a holistic approach to patient care. Your overall well-being is crucial to us, and by being aware of certain aspects of your health, we can offer more tailored and effective treatments. We encourage you to regularly self-reflect on the following wellness aspects:

Sleep quality can influence your overall health and well-being. Regular disturbances or changes in sleep patterns can be indicative of underlying issues.

Shortness of breath can be related to fluid balance or heart health and may require adjustments in your care.

Experiencing dizziness or cramps might indicate issues with blood pressure, fluid removal, or other dialysis-related concerns.

Consistent intake of phosphate binders helps manage phosphorus levels in the blood, ensuring optimal outcomes from your dialysis sessions.

Being unable to lie flat comfortably might suggest fluid retention or other concerns, which can be important for us to know.

Swelling, particularly in the feet, can be a sign of fluid buildup and needs to be addressed to prevent complications.

Monitoring and maintaining an appropriate fluid intake are vital for dialysis patients to manage fluid balance and overall health.

Your proactive awareness and communication about these aspects empower us to optimise your treatment and well-being collaboratively.
